Dentures That Fit Your Life, Not Just Your Mouth

A real plan, the right fit, and one doctor start to finish.

Honest Answers Start at the First Visit

If you're looking into dentures, chances are you didn't arrive here casually. Maybe you've been told by another dentist that it's time. Maybe you've been quietly managing tooth loss for longer than you'd like to admit and you're finally ready to do something about it. Either way, you're in the right place — and we're not going to make this harder than it needs to be.

At Aultman Dental Leeds, the first visit starts the same way it always does: we ask what you want. Not what you think you're supposed to want, and not what's easiest to deliver — what you actually want your teeth to look like and how you want them to function. From there, we do a thorough diagnostic workup. That means full imaging, a complete clinical evaluation, and an honest conversation about where things stand and what your options actually are.

Dentures aren't a one-size-fits-all solution, and we won't treat them like one. Some patients are candidates for full dentures. Others are better served by a partial, an implant-supported option, or a combination approach. We'll tell you what we see, explain the tradeoffs plainly, and build a plan that reflects both your clinical needs and your real-world budget — in the room, with you, before you leave. No treatment plan handed to you at the front desk on your way out the door.

Complete Dentures

When all of the teeth in an arch are missing — or when the remaining teeth aren't viable — a complete denture replaces the full row, upper or lower, with a custom-fitted prosthetic designed to restore both function and appearance.

The process begins with a thorough evaluation and a series of impressions that capture the precise contours of your jaw. From there, we work through a fitting process that involves wax try-ins, where you can see and feel how the denture will look and sit before anything is finalized. Nothing is set in stone until you've had a chance to evaluate it.

A well-made complete denture should feel stable, allow you to eat and speak with reasonable confidence, and look natural — not theatrical. What it won't feel like, at least initially, is your own teeth. There is an adjustment period, and we'll be straightforward with you about what to expect: some soreness as your gums adapt, some early learning curve with chewing and speech. These are normal, and they resolve.

What about implant-supported dentures? For patients who want more stability than a conventional denture provides, implant-retained options anchor the prosthetic to the jaw — eliminating the need for adhesive and significantly reducing movement. We'll walk through whether that's appropriate for you based on your bone structure, health history, and goals.

One doctor manages your case from the diagnostic visit to the final delivery. You won't be handed off.

"Great place. Great staff. I fell and chipped my teeth on vacation. I called first thing monday morning and Lori got me scheduled the same day. Dr. Kilgore was quick to fix the problem and now it’s like you’d never know my teeth were broken. I’m very thankful for their help and everything they did for me!"
